Mumbai Rush held by Veera Utd in MDFA playoff

The Blue Nation was setup against a determined Veera United FC in the 2nd round playoff on the 3rd of May. It was a frustrating draw in which both teams created chances but couldn`t capitalize on them. The first half brought out the nerve in both teams as the scoreline remained unchanged.
In search of goals, Mumbai Rush changed to an attacking formation in the second half from the 4-4-2 formation in the 1st half. With key players missing, the team tried tried hard and came close to scoring, but failed to convert. Sidhharth Thakkar came very close to scoring when his volley from the half line caught the keeper off-guard but struck the top of the crossbar and went behind for a goal kick. Veera United were denied several times by an acrobatic Ashray Gandhi (GK) who strived hard to keep a clean sheet for Rush.  Chances for Ravi Meena and Tyson Patel were incredibly close but could not alter the scoreline in any way.
It wasn`t a very satisfying result for the Mumbai Rush playera as they hope to do better in their upcoming play-off games. This Seasons brings new hopes for promotion as our U18 boys work hard week in and week out to achieve their targets and be prepared for any challenges that come their way.
