The SSYSA board has adopted the following weather policy:
The division coordinators will then contact the coaches. The coaches then call the parents/players to inform them of the weather decision. If you have NOT BEEN CALLED, the game is on as planned.

Announcement Guidelines |
| 1. Prior to 8:00 AM on Game Day, the Field Coordinator makes the call on any |
| cancellation if necessary. The announcement will be made through Coaching |
| Coordinators, Referee Coordinators, and will be posted on the website homepage. |
| 2. After 8:00 AM matches go as scheduled with the Referee Coordinator and |
| referee making the call for cancellation at the field. The Referee Coordinator |
| and referee may consult with both coaches for help but they make the call. |
| Any necessary announcements will be made through Coaching Coordinators, |
| Referee Coordinators, and will be posted on the website homepage. |
| Cancellation Guidelines | ||
| SSYSA Board questions the merits of U6 and U8 | ||
| Levels playing outside the following: | ||
| * Less than 35 degrees | ||
| (adjusted for wind and/or rain) | ||
| * More than 95 degrees | ||
| (without adjustment to substitution or time) | ||
| All SSYSA officials should respect Person(s) | ||
| responsible for their children's welfare and as | ||
| such their decisions on their child's | ||
| participation. | ||
