Pictures

Photos will be made on Friday evening, September 13 at Brook Cove Soccer fields from 5pm to 7pm. See schedule and price list from Tilley's. Please be ON TIME as we need to get these in before dusk. Also, even if you do not intend to buy individual pictures, please come for the team photos.

**added note from webmaster** Coaches---please don't leave before I get your photo. We want a coaches page again this year...I will be there with camera to take these pictures for our webpage.

Concessions

The concession schedule has been made. Coaches and/or Team Moms, please sign up a parent on your scheduled times and submit this to your coordinator or Mary Lou directly by this Sept.7th games. A schedule with volunteer names will be posted on the bulletin board at the field (and here). Please be courteous and be prompt for your shceduled times to work so that no parents have to miss their child's game. Teams are scheduled to work the concession stand for the game either directly before or after their game. If you have any questions or concerns about concessions, please see Tracy Smith or Mary Lou Greene.

Fundraising / End of Season Celebration

 We have tentative plans to hold a community-wide BBQ and dance with a live band at Southeastern Stokes Middle School on Saturday, October 26th. this will be our main fundraiser for this year, (yeah...no selling of raffle tickets!), with the goal of redoing the soccer fields. As most of you know, the U10 field is in desperate need of repair! Details are being worked otu and we should have more for you within a couple weeks.

We are also looking at holding our trophy presentation around 4pm that afternoon PRIOR to the BBQ.

As part of all this, we will also be hosting a soccer tournament at our fields again this year -- November 1 - 3. We are considering the trophy presentation, BBQ, and tournament as being one big event called Stokes Soccer Fest 2002. Brochures with tournament entry details should be available within the next week. If you have any suggestions or would like to help with any of this planning, please let us know!

Again, details are still being worked out for all of this, but be sure to pencil in both events on your calender.

The new SSYSA website www.ssysa.com is up and running....its a big hit so far. We are approaching 1000 hits since it began this year! Be sure to check the website for the most recent SSYSA news, schedules, contact names/phone numbers, etc. It is a huge step ahead for us! Don't forget to bookmark this site!
